A Conceptual Framework Integrating “Building Back Better” and Post-Earthquake Needs for Recovery and Reconstruction

Global disasters due to earthquakes have become more frequent and intense. Consequently, post-disaster recovery reconstruction has the new normal in social process. Through reconstruction, risks can be effectively reduced, resilience improved, long-term stability achieved. However, there is a gap between impact of post-earthquake needs people disaster area. Based on international consensus “building back better” (BBB) assessment method, this paper proposes (N-BBB) conceptual model empirically analyze after Changning Ms 6.0 earthquake Sichuan Province, China.
